Privacy and control
Your client work stays on your site.
Proof files live outside the public Media Library and are served only after private-link validation. SignoffCanvas does not send proof files, private links, feedback, reviewer names, reviewer email addresses, or approval fingerprints to Freemius.
Business webhooks are separately configured by an administrator. They send only workflow metadata such as review and round IDs, title, status, entry IDs, and counts to the chosen HTTPS endpoint—never the private link, proof, reviewer identity, or feedback text.
Deactivation and uninstall retain customer data by default. WordPress privacy export and erasure handlers cover feedback associated with reviewer email addresses.
Server note: Apache protection is installed automatically. Nginx and other servers that ignore .htaccess require an explicit deny rule for the private upload directory.

Do reviewers need a WordPress account?
No. Possession of the unguessable private review link authorizes access and feedback. You can expire, close, or regenerate that link.
Is an approval a legal electronic signature?
No. SignoffCanvas records a practical project-workflow approval tied to an exact proof file; it is not a legally binding electronic-signature service.
What happens when a proof is replaced?
The replacement becomes a new round. Earlier files, comments, and decisions remain available as read-only history.
Are Pro and Business available now?
